Fantastic!! From Mr Hayes and his theatre team, Tehgan the ward host, the porters and especially those lovely people who kept me in coffee and food. They are ALL utterly brilliant. Everyone of them is a cog in the big wheel of RMH service delivery and without them all working together it wouldn't work. Thank you for your help with sorting me out. And all this for free! Plus I met some lovely people on Smithers ward. Good luck to you guys!!!!! NB. Anyone needing a place to stay before early admittance for surgery should check out Marianas Guest House. It's just down the road from RMH Sutton. Was a big help as had to travel down from Norfolk the day before booking in early for surgery. In all a positive experience in an extremely busy hospital environment. Thank you, thank you, thank you xxx
This in reference to the pharmacy and not in any way about the doctors/nurses that do the amazing work for all of the patients of Marsden. The pharmacy is understaffed and the customer/patient care is non existent, after having a medication sent directly through from her doctor to the pharmacy to prevent any wait the pharmacist would only issue us with a collection number which meant over an hour wait . There is a distinct lack of management and this needs to be addressed to avoid many patients often in discomfort , littering the entrance .
My partner has recently completed a six week course of radiotherapy in the Rowan Wing of the Marsden Hospital in Sutton. We're grateful beyond words to all of the staff - especially Nurse Jo Rydon - for everything they did to help at this horrendous time in my partner's life. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, they seemed to have all the time in the world for us, even though we know how incredibly busy they are and it was comforting to know that they are so experienced that they were able to explain to us what was going to happen and how the treatment would effect my partner. We're so fortunate to be living near to this amazing hospital with their incredibly caring and knowledgeable staff. Words seem so inadequate at a time like this. All we can say is thank you. Referred for treatment from Local hospital. I was so happy to be seen at one of the world's most renown cancer-specialist centres. Faultless service throughout. Everyone has a positive, can-do attitude. All so friendly and polite too but not overly so. I actually enjoy going there.I am so impressed with my Consultant too. Have needed scans and live 50 miles away so she arranged them same day, there and then, personally, face to face ! None of this "Make an appointment for a scan. It'll be in about two weeks" stuff.The Cherry Tree Restaurant/Cafe serves great food and excellent coffee . What's not to like. Oh yes - the wait for phlebotomy. Oh well. Nothing's perfect. Still a five star place.
