Tried ringing this morning. Not answered 3 times. Switchboard answered 4th time and was rude and put me through to another call that was not answered. Tried 5th time same thing happened again. If you a calling a hospital usually that would mean that yourself or a loved one are ill and to get rude abrupt responses from them is not good enough. Didnt manage to get my problem dealt with
I just had absolutely wonderful treatment at St Helier hospital. Resus, CCU, ICU and CCU again. It was faultless, can't praise highly enough.
My wife was taken to A& E by a lovely ambulance crew and we arrived at midnight. She has Alzheimer's and had inadvertently taken 7 days of Donepezil at one go. My complaint is that we were there for 7 hours which is totally unacceptable and she was getting very agitated at the end. It was all I could do to stop her walking out before they had finished her tests. This is not good enough in this day and age. I know they are busy but more resources need to be allocated to this service.
It provides a life saving service and the nurses/doctors see you on an importance basis... if you go in there with your arm hanging off, they're gonna see you before they go see the person with a cut on their hand...Your wait time is based on how life threatening your injury is, don't like it- go private and pay THOUSANDS to be seen an hour quicker
Ambulance service, A&E and Gynecology stuff were very good and supportive while my miscarriage. My only issue was that noone knew what will happen next. Otherwise, thank you for helping me through this very hard experience of my life.
