My engagement ring needed repair and after reading positive reviews and being local, I went there to get an estimate. The shop assistant gave me a rough estimate and stated a diamond was missing and suggested a cleaning too. I told her that my main concern was the repair, the rest could wait, she said that her colleague will list the pricing anyway and I can decide then. She took my contact details and said they will call me with the pricing. After waiting for 4 days, I contacted them just to get an update, I was then informed that the workshop is not in store and that it takes at least a week for the estimate! Also she took my email address as they normally send an estimate letter through the post..Information that would have been helpful to know when I went to the store...as I was going away in a couple of weeks time. 7 days after my visit, I indeed received an email, with a total price included the clean and replacing of diamond, not listed whatsoever...I decided to decline and ask for the return of my ring, which took another week.Feeling rather frustrated, I ended up going to a repair shop in Hatton Garden, who showed me, after a quick steam clean, that the diamond was NOT missing, it simply went deeper into the ring! The gentleman gave me an estimate straight away and the ring was ready the next day!Warrenders is a lovely antique jewellery shop and to their defense their customer service was good, but please be aware and make sure you get all the information upon your visit for repairs, to avoid like me wasting a couple of weeks and not getting the full listed pricing, and charging me for a diamond that was not missing...
