A great garage which is hard to find these days . They have looked after me very well and the three occasions I have needed them . Staff are polite helpful competent of there work and the main thing to me was trust . I would highly recommend anyone to use S&C Autos 10/10 Service.
The best garage I've ever been to! They fit you in as quickly as possible (even though they're always busy) and are always helpful and friendly. They have never done expensive work on my car without giving me a quote first. Had a reoccurring fault on my Ford which could have been one in a great number of things. They charged me once to try and fix it - car was fine for a week and then the same fault came back (not their fault) and it went back in twice, neither of which they charged me for. They even researched the problem and suggested places to get second hand parts from. I really could not recommend them more! An honest, reliable service.
Would not use again. First took my car for a Terraclean, was told to bring car at 8.30am as it would take some time to do. Whilst car there I asked to fix rattling exhaust. Was given a car to get home. A Y reg micra with dirty seats and nearly bald tyres and hardly any fuel. Anyway, got a call to advise a new front exhaust was needed and it was on order, as soon as it arrived they would fit it. My wife went at 5pm to collect car and was told exhaust is being repaired rather then replaced and the terraclean had not been started. No call throughout the day to advise that the exhaust would not be replaced but repaired (probably at the cost of the new one.) Also 0.5 litres of oil added without my consent.One week later and I am driving the car for the second time when engine light and EPC light come on. Car won't start properly so drive back to garage to complain and find out what the problem is. I left car with them and asked them to call me to advise the issue. No call, had to chase myself only to find parts ordered without consent and no quote provided. Gave me the Micra again to get me home. Garage adament not to do with the terraclean but to coincidental for me not to have been their shoddy work. Also strut to bonnet failed whilst they were lifting and closing the bonnet.Finally called the next day to be told car ready and a bill of 130. Told I was lucky to have the car fixed by them at such short notice as they were really busy even though garage was not full, and that I wasn't charged more for the tests. Still saying nothing to do with them that the car broke down.So if you are happy not to be called with quotes and have them charge you for items without your consent, not do what they say they are going to do and you don't mind driving an 18 yr old dirty car with almost illigal road tyres then go ahead and use these guys. Me I am going back to my normal garage where customer service is 12/10.And before you ask, I only used this garage for the terraclean service as they are the only garage in my area to offer the service.
