Food was lovely, they had just run out of haddock but there is a menu change imminent so it's understandable. Had the buttermilk fried chicken burger instead which is not something I would normally choose and it was very tasty. Chips were perfect. Staff were very friendly and attentive to everyone in there.
Attended the clothes swap event they host, which was very enjoyable. The selection of food and drink available was excellent, and although the prices are a bit higher than some of the other local pubs, I'd consider the food worth it. Good vegan and vegetarian options.
Love this pub. Very shabby but chic with its own story. Lovely atmosphere serious amount of pub games and love the old feel to the place. Brilliant service and excellent food.
Quirky pub, does a very good reasonable Sunday roast. Slightly art students pub, has a range of board games to encourage you to stay and drink their range of beers which although not as cheap as Wetherspoons but cheaper than many other local bars. Tends not to attract local troublemakers, but music although usually interesting, could be turned down a little. Also does occasional comedy and live music nights.Worth at least 1 visit to decide if it's for you.
I went here for a baby naming reception in the function room. The space was cosy and comfortable, the food was really tasty. The family ordered platters to share and it was all very impressive and tasty. There was plenty to go around. The staff were helpful and friendly.
