Very bad customer service. Wanted to return a pair of rollerblades (no 9 adult size recommended as size child 9) bought for my daughter as present which were recommended by a MEMBER OF STAFF. As we didn't try in store but tried them at home, they didn't accept as the wheels had wearing marks (just for trying them indoor). I explained that we had to try them and an adult 9 cannot fit a 3yo and they were mis-sold in my opinion. The manager told me that I shouldn't try and be clever with them !?! Such a rude behaviour instead of trying to find a solution.

It's retailers like Sports Direct that pave the way for the closure of the high street stores with the 'not well thought out' refund policy. I had to return some jogging bottoms as the leg size was too long. Would have tried in store on the day, but time unfortunately wasn't on my side, so decided to ask the counter if I could get a full refund later if any issues. Got a yes, bring it back and you'll get a refund from staff serving me at the time. Went to the Sutton branch to get my refund within 7 days of purchase. There was nothing else I wanted so decided to take the refund. I was offered an exchange or credit note. I'd spent cash, so expected and wanted my cash returned. After asking asking Miten, the store Manager a few times for a cash refund I realised he was trained to just offer credit notes or exchanges. Customer service went out the window there and then for me, and so I accepted he couldn't help me out. I should have been a big pain and wait longer to be dragged out the store like the good old days, but I felt sorry for Miten and the staff having to put up with customer's like me. So, I just annoyed them and wasted their time for wasting mine and cause me inconvenience. Could have made a bigger fuss, but handy I can protest this inconsiderate 'credit note only' policy here. Personally, I feel let down by Sports Direct. Sorry, to the manager he seemed a nice enough fellow but I'll have to shop elsewhere in the future. Hence, Sports Direct won't catch my eye no more. Totally put off shopping in there. Oh! Hello eBay.

Unless you play football, their selection of sports equipment is shocking!

Big store with lots of great stuff but sorry guys, the service for trying on trainers is rubbish. I waited about 15 minutes for 1 pair to arrive for me to try. I wanted to try a few on but after waiting so long I gave up and left. It wasn't even busy at the time.

Been here 100's of times always very helpful. Only ever 1 incident with kit numbers out of stock a while back other than that keep taking my money as I will return. Fantastic.
